           University system is to impart higher education the main objective being the enhancement of knowledge while the intrinsic objective is for sustenance i.e. the way of life. In this system the students are the main stake holders, teachers the facilitator and guide while administrative wing is the coordinator or manager. The university needs to run with the participation of all these three units with full involvement and transparency. North Orissa University situated at Sriranchandra Vihar, Baripada, Orissa very near to Similipal the world famous reserved biosphere is a university with vision to establish itself in the International level with regards to research and teaching. With seven post graduate departments and 11 self financing courses and several research projects in many frontiers of science and technology it has the aspiration to proof itself as an up-to-date and dynamic university. Timely examination system is an added advantage of this university. All these features have made the members of the university jubilant functionaries. In near future this university is planning to have automation in various frontiers as useful major. Besides academic activities it extends its social responsibility through its NSS wings driven by a group of young and dynamic program coordinators. Let me stress that we conduct ourselves within the limits of rules and regulations and contribute ourselves in the utmost manner for the growth and development. I definitely seek cooperation from all to enhance our International visibility and recognition.
